Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is committed to this organization. We meet on a regular basis or at least 6 times per year and is in constant communication to ensure funds are properly distributed and decisions are made quickly. Our Board consists of five professional members: Terry has been a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage & Family Therapist for over 20 years, specializing in EMDR treatment for trauma healing, mediation in family disputes, and pastoral care. She successfully runs her own practice while writing a wonderful book. Over the years, she has given her services to a number of associations including women’s resource centers either on their board of directors or as a president.

Stephen practices in several states as an internal medicine physician specializing in infectious diseases. He has authored a book as well as many journal entries, served on many boards, and has successfully founded two non-profit organizations.

Christy is a phenomenal teacher at a private school and worked hard to obtain a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Integrating Technology in the classroom. She has served on several social outreach and multicultural committees as well as the chairman of the festival committees and has introduced a successful garden on the school grounds to educate the children.

Stephen is a pediatrician & internal medicine physician with a heart for missionary volunteer work. He has served on numerous committees through the years and currently owns a successful business in medicine.

Brande, who is also the executive director, has been a director & administrator in the medical field for over 18+ years with business experience in both small, self-employed practices as well as large corporations. She volunteers at the local food bank delivering meals to seniors as well as at her local church with various projects. She has volunteered with women's shelters. As a survivor herself, she encourages other women to seek support and counseling to become healthy and independent. Brande left her director/administrator position in the medical field to follow God's leading by creating this organization because as she found out personally, there is a real need in supporting women who wish to leave an abusive situation. Her passion is to assist these women in their journey as she was once in their shoes.

The organization also includes a CPA experienced in non-profit work as a treasurer and an Army Veteran secretary dedicated to the success of this non-profit.
