Transitional Housing

Transitional housing is for a woman and her children that have recently experienced domestic violence, are not in imminent danger, and do not have adequate housing at the moment. Our housing program is transitional, meaning that a woman can stay provided she is working at least part time and can pay rent. The housing can average between 6 months and 2 years, depending upon the needs of the client. After the transitional stage, A Stepping Stone will assist the client in finding stable housing options.

Individualized Plan of Action

For each client, we will discuss their goals so that we can work together to assist them in achieving their goals in life. Each plan will reveal the challenges in front of the client as well as choices they can make to obtain their goals. By making the action plan, it will stand as a reminder on difficult days and it will also be adjusted at the weekly meeting or as needed. “Finding Employment” Assisting in writing a resume and practicing interviewing skills” “Assistance in applying for trade school or college” “Budgeting and Financial Education”
